One Fat Lady and one creator of porkie pies.

Clarissa Dickson-Wright had a deal to say about Blair, Cherry, and Derry Irvine plus a few more in one chapter of her excellent book ‘Spilling the Beans’.

Even at school Blair earned a reputation not to be desired. Bob Roberts, one of Balir’s teachers the man who had cause to discipline on many occasions described him as ‘the most difficult boy I ever had to deal with’.

Someone who knew Blair at Fettes college maintains that Blair had said that ‘People were brought up without a proper respect for authority’ though as a boarder Blair would argue repeatedly with staff about school procedures. Seemingly Blair also came quite close to being expelled after he finished his A-levels though details are not too hand —–

The same person from Fettes college continued ‘Blair had a great gift for being able to push the rules to the limit without actually crossing the line, and he could always talk his way out of most tight spots. He had a great deal of charm and confidence, but certainly did his fair bit of rebelling against authority.’

I read that as Blair being a con man.

John Rentoul who wrote ‘Tony Blair: Prime Minister’ in a recent interview said in connection with Blair’s schooldays that ‘All the teachers I spoke to when researching the book said he was a complete pain in the backside, and they were very glad to see the back of him’

Rentoul continued ‘Unusually, he also sat his Oxbridge exams before A-levels so that he would not have to be around for a seventh term for whatever reason’.

Remember Blair’s made-up story about stowing away out of Newcastle Airport when he was 12, on flight to the Bahamas? Or was it Bermuda? And Newcastle Airport management saying they had never had a single flight to the Caribbean?

Then there was the little matter of Blair saying how his teenage hero was Jackie Milburn, and how he would watch from the seats behind the goal at St James’s Park. Bit of a shame that Milburn played his last game for Newcastle United when Blair was four years old, and there were no seats behind the goal at the time.

Then the F1 tobacco sponsorship scandal that saw Blair having to return the one million pounds to Bernie Ecclestone but only after documents were produced that showed he personally intervened right after a meeting that had been getting denied even took place.

The business with the Koran was another remark by Blair that either showed he was lying through his teeth or he simply did not understand what he was talking about.

He claimed at a public meeting (while trying to gather Muslim votes presumably) that he kept a copy of the Koran by his bedside and read it regularly.

(The Koran unlike the Bible is not a ‘readable book’. It is a collection of mostly unconnected verses.)

Lets not forget Blair’s ‘Closet Catholic’ religion and his selling out of the people of Ulster, his distortion of truth, his —- “Blairism’s” time and time and time again.

The man is an utter disgrace. The ONLY legitimate claim to fame as opposed to infamy is that he has introduced a new word into the English language,

Blairism (n.) Presenting facts in a way that causes the listener or reader to gain an entirely false impression without telling a deliberate untruth. (see also kitman and taqqiya)
