There are many charitable organisations which are able to help you with advice and support. Some are breed specific, others are more general in scope. They can help you chose a pet, advise you on how to keep it in good heath and even help when you perhaps become unable to cope.

The important thing is that you should never feel alone, or unable to afford medical treatment for a loved pet.
