Lumps and bumps.

I don't think humans are very bright as this tale will explain

Because I was purchased for a little girl to take away her pain,

The hamster that she had nursed and loved unfortunately had died

So I was bought to replace it because she had sobbed and cried.

I soon settled in and brought a smile back to the little girls face

As she laughed at my antics as round my cage I would race.

It was about two weeks later when I heard the mother say

" I'm not happy, it has a lump, let us get it to the vets today"

I was rather alarmed at this statement because I felt quite well

But I was being shoved quickly in a box in a panic I could tell.

So I was taken to the vets quicker than the speed of light

I could not make out why she was in such an awful fright.

The vet examined me and said, "Have you had a hamster before?"

"Yes but she died and I bought this one from the local pet store."

"Well madam" said the vet "These are natural lumps you see

Because this hamster is not a female it is most certainly a he."

Honestly! I could not believe how stupid a human being could get

This woman is the most silliest one so far that I have ever met.

I've been nicknamed Lumpy now for reasons you can guess

Whether I am male or female my playmate couldn't care less.
