A retirement hobby & an income

or extra income prior to retirement?

Need some extra money or worried that you soon will? Rising prices and pensions which are failing to keep up with annual increases in Council Tax charges are putting pressure on any savings we may have put aside 'for a rainy day'. Dental charges, some medical expenses which are only available if privately funded, rising petrol costs - the list goes on. It's not all gloom and doom, but it is increasingly obvious that if anything is going to change, we will need to do it ourselves.

For our new sister web-site I have been researching various ways in which older people can make some extra money, either full or part time, using skills learned in life, or indeed, by trying something completely new. I believe I have found one such option, which allows you to create a profitable web-site, building on your own life experience, or passion, or even an idea which you haven't even had yet. If that sounds a little odd, the programme helps you actually research what options are likely to be most profitable before deciding which way to go.

For example, launching a web-site about travel would put you in direct competition with the big boys and you would almost certainly fail. But say you launched a site devoted to just one small place? Making you the Big Fish in a very small pond - that's the way to go, niche marketing about something you really care about.

The programme guides you step by step through the preliminary research, the writing, and construction, all the way through to developing the site to the stage where it is producing regular income. It doesn't require you to have any technical knowledge - I found that pre knowledge was actually a disadvantage because I had to re-learn much of what I thought I knew!

You have to put some effort and your passion into it and you have to be prepared to follow guidelines - not difficult when you see that there are thousands who have successfully turned their particular niche interests into steady income. Also, don't expect to make money for the first couple of months. First you put the effort in, only then can you take income out!

Nothing which is cheap is likely to have much value. This Canadian programme costs about 42p a day - around £152.00 at the current exchange rate. For that you get everything from 'first steps' technical instruction and advice, your own URL or registered internet domain name, a years professional hosting and so much more. Everything in fact to build a web-site which is properly structured from the ground floor up. You don't need to pay anything like that to build a personal or 'hobby' site - see our sister site again, but to build a 'real' professional site, that truly is good value.

People who know me, know how sceptical I can be. Well, I just wish I had discovered this programme years ago, it would have saved me so much time and grief! That said, having discovered it I didn't waste any more time - I bought in, using my own money! That's how good I think it is..........
