Steaks With Red Onion

 

Ingredients:

4tbs oil
2 red onions, sliced into rings
2tbs brown sugar
2tbs red wine vinegar
150ml red wine
2 tuna steaks

Method:

Heat half the oil in a saucepan.   Add the onion and sugar.   Stir well.   Add the vinegar and wine.   Bring to the boil and simmer gently until all the liquid is absorbed.   Meanwhile, heat the rest of the oil in a frying pan.   Cook the tuna steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side.   Top the tuna with the onions and serve with mashed potatoes and mange tout.
