The Charities Section

This section is not primarily a fund raising section for deserving causes.   Rather, it is intended to highlight some of the charities that have a particular interest in the support of older people. If we older people have a fault – and none of us would want to admit to one - It’s that we carry our pride too far!

When you really consider it, the “I won’t accept charity” attitude is even more foolish than it sounds.   Charities need people to help!   But for the needy, there would be no point in having charitable organisations in the first place…………….

Like most of us, you have probably contributed to good causes all your life – just trying to help others a little.   There comes a time in most lives when a little understanding, and sometimes a little help is called for and those organisations which you helped in the past are now able and eager to help you in return.
