Gardener's Hand Cream

Keep those Green Fingers glowing

Most gardeners know only too well the battering their hands can take whilst pursuing their passion. Whether its digging, weeding or raking, long days outside in the wind and cold, or heat and sun, can easily damage the skin leaving hands chapped and chaffed…now however ‘help is at hand’

Gardeners hand cream

The ingredients list of a new, paraben free, hand lotion specifically for gardeners’ reads like a list from the finest garden itself with lavender, orange, lemon, avocado and apricot oils sitting alongside beeswax and sweet almond oil. It is not the ‘list’ of ingredients that makes Gardeners’ Hand Lotion so perfect for those hard worked hands however, but their effects on your skin…

The new formula has been specifically designed to help soothe and revitalise dry and inflamed skin on the hands – often a result of long days of digging and planting. The oils used are packed full of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants and each has beneficial properties for the skin; so much so that the lotion is great to use on the whole body.

Cut apricot

Apricot Kernel oil and Sweet Almond Oil: Apricot kernel oil is particularly helpful for dehydrated, delicate, mature and sensitive skin. The benefits of almond oil come from the fact that it is high in minerals, protein, naturally occurring vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6 and E) and in mono and poly-unsaturated fatty acids; all important for healthy skin. The oil is often used to help with skin itch, irritation and dryness.

Lavender

Alpine Lavender oil is one of the most versatile and soothing oils available. It is wonderfully relaxing and is known for its rejuvenating properties. It leaves the skin scented and the senses relaxed.

Orange and Lemon oils. Orange oil can help stimulate skin circulation and promote the production of collagen, used for tissue repair. Orange and Lemon oils are also known to aid with the removal of toxins from the skin and control sebum levels, the cause of acne.

Split Avacado

Avocado oil is said to stimulate collagen metabolism, increasing the proportion of soluble collagen in the dermis, retarding visible signs of ageing and remarkably softening the skin.

Beeswax

Cederwood oil and beeswax: Cederwood oil was possibly the first oil extract ever used by the Egyptians and is both soothing and harmonising. Beeswax adds further moisturising properties to the lotion as well as helping protect the skin from the elements.

The last and most plentiful ingredient and the one that the lotion takes its name from is Emu Oil. Already famed around the world for its potent anti-aging properties, with the likes of Demi Moore swearing by it and published research 1 showing it dramatically speeding up skin cell regeneration, one of the most important factors in an anti-aging. Furthermore emu oil is a powerful moisturiser and skin soother and comedogencity tests show it has a score of less than 1 meaning it won’t clog up pores.

The result of combining these ingredients is an exquisite lotion, which is a true gift from nature. It instantly soothes, protects and revitalizes, and is easily absorbed leaving the skin with a younger, softer and smoother looking complexion…ready for another day in the garden!
