Trailblazing their self-coined "Slum Rock" stylings on the South Wales and Bristol live circuits since August 2004, this fiery four-piece were snapped-up by Levelsound following an impromptu showcase at Clwb Ifor Bach in Spring 2005. Inspired by influences as diverse as Radiohead, The Ramones, Level 42 and The Clash, The Fondas manage nevertheless to always sound like The Fondas.

Debut album Dirty Kicks is set to turn heads and bend ears early in the new year, and first single Be Alone is a snarling snapshot of great things to come. Grinding guitar duads, rock-solid rhythm and lead vocals ranging from falsetto to ball-breaking, all polished with precision harmonies and brilliant bass under-play: "Slum Rock" is born - and it's pissed!
