Release date: 12th June 2006
EMI Catalogue Marketing are proud to release Donovan In Concert
The Complete 1967 Anaheim Show as a 2 CD set on 12th June. Donovan
is booked to play the Jazz Café, London, on 18th and 19th May
(www.ticketmaster.co.uk).
This is the first time that the complete show (17th November 1967) has
been made available on CD, giving this release an extra 10 songs over
the original release.
Often portrayed as the British Dylan, Donovan Leitch was in fact much
more than this. As the highest profile UK folk singer at a time when
most folk singers were American, Donovans association with the
summer of love made him one of the most popular singers of the 60s
and he made forays into the world of psychedelia ahead of most of his
contemporaries.
