Released: 1ST September 2008 Label: Vibrant Records This September sees the release of Looking Back - The Very Best Of David Soul, a retrospective collection of songs from the renowned actor, singer & songwriter. The 20 songs, including five of his hits, have been put together by David to reflect not only the successes but also the emotional journey of his life and career over the past four decades. In addition to the original recording of Don't Give Up On Us, Baby, the album also features a new recording of the song, arranged by and recorded with Cuba's number one top-selling band, Buena Fé. This thrilling new version will be digitally released as a single on 11th August.* David Soul is taking part in BBC TWO's, Maestro, which goes on air from Tuesday 12th August at 9pm. The show, hosted by Clive Anderson, will follow eight passionate amateur conductors including David, drum and bass star Goldie, Blur bassist Alex James, actor Bradley Walsh, journalists Peter Snow and Katy Derham, comedienne Sue Perkins and actress Jane Asher as they compete for the chance to conduct the BBC Concert Orchestra in London's Hyde Park, as part of the BBC Proms' world famous Last Night celebrations on 13th September 2008. David Soul has enjoyed a long and illustrious career as an actor,
director and singer/songwriter. He began as a folk-singer in Minneapolis,
Minnesota and New York in the mid-60s. Though best known for his role
as 'Hutch' in the international hit television series Starsky &
Hutch, it wasn't until the success of the series that David emerged
as a recording artist/concert performer and during the 1970s he consistently
topped the UK and US charts with Don't Give Up On Us, Going In With
My Eyes Open, Silver Lady, Let's Have A Quiet Night In and It Sure
