My Parrot

My parrot was owned by a sailor

Who taught him to curse and to swear.

He said nothing wrong in the pet shop

When I saw him and bought him from there.

When we got him home it was different,

His manners he quickly forgot.

He insulted the wife and he cussed her,

Which the children thought funny (a lot).

Wifey was nearly demented and

Said she would strangle him dead.

So I had a quick word with the children

And the wife now lives in the shed.
