ARTIST PROFILE

Joyce Gale was born 1939 in Richmond Surrey.   She married a Bristolian and has lived in Bristol for 40 years.   Started painting as therapy when her mother died.   She calls her style, exaggerated art.   She paints on wood board, which is first emulsioned with three coats of white.   She mainly paints in oil but will occasionally use canvas.
