Displaying words and pictures on the Internet is not an exact science.
What may start off as a work of art on the designers screen can often
end up jumbled and out of balance on a different screen many miles away.
This occurs because the designer has no control over the size of the
screen or the resolution you are using or the browser type. However,
the most common complaint from users is the size of the typeface - it's
often, just too small!
Now there are things you can do to put this right. The easiest is to
hold down the Ctrl key (that's the one at the bottom left of your keyboard)
and turn the wheel in the centre of your mouse. Try it now - Magic!
If you use Internet Explorer or Netscape browsers to view the Internet,
you can alter the settings to enlarge the size of the text on your screen.
However, if you require even larger text, or use a text-only browser,
look at the web-site of the Royal National Institute for the Blind www.rnib.org.uk
, which contains much useful information on how to access the web using
different technologies.
